goBETA (Center of data sharing for networked system research) provides a platform for sharing of datasets collected from or generated for networked systems. The platform is hosted by the Computer Network Information Center (CNIC), Chinese Academy of sciences (CAS), and supported by CNIC-CAS and the Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), CAS.

goBETA is non-profit. The datasets are contributed by individual institutions and researchers all around the world in a crowd-sourcing way; they are also open to public. These data will hopefully boost up the research in networked systems, especially the design and optimisation of network protocols, network management, network devices. The data will also foster the developing of new observations and theoretical models in the networking area.

goBETA also hosts some tools or the URLs of some tools for collecting and processing the relevant datasets. These tools are also free to use for academic researchers.

We call for contributions of datasets and the relevant tools; we also call for usage of the datasets. As we stated in the presentation, one award will be given to the best contribution of datasets each year, and one will be given to the best usage of datasets each year.
